I have seen the question posed in several ways. Do donates maintain their library based health / attack bonuses when donated? Valozin and I did some experimenting and found an interesting (and somewhat surprising) answer. There are two particular Chapter 4 library research items in question. One is the Standing Army research tree (+10% barracks troops attacks and health); the second is the Chivalry research tree (+10% cavalry attack). So for the experiment, Valozin and I donated cavalry troops to each other. I donated my Cuirassier with 8424 hp and 168 dps. Valozin RECEIVED the Cuirassier with 7128 hp and 140 dps. Conversely, he donated his Stradioti with 7890 hp and 175 dps, and I RECEIVED the Stradioti with a hefty 9324 hp and a very sweet 210 dps. I know .... so what the ?? Turns out that I have completed both of the afore mentioned researches ... and Valozin has completed neither. So here is the answer to the question ....... The bonus goes to whomever has completed the researches. If I (for example) send donates to another member, whether they get the bonus health or damage depends on whether THEY have done the research . Interestingly, the health difference is 18.1818 %, even though it is said to be 10% for each research. The attack difference is the correct 20%. Bottom line ...... get those researches done when you can! Who loves ya' ? R

Yeah, Liethana... You and I kind of started the same experiment earlier and you had to leave. It gave me time to put a little more thought into it. Glad we could figure it out.. should help everyone!

I know this discussion is old and I don't know if anyone even checks the forum anymore but I figured out why Rathbone's troops had an 18% health bonus even though the library research is only for 10%. The Versailles wonder from GP age gives a 10% boost to defending AND attacking troops. So there was a 10% health upgrade on the received troops plus another 10% from the wonder which factors out to the 18%.
I've also figured out that you can change a wonder any time before you complete the last stage of construction without it costing any crowns. This is pretty convenient since it allows you to see the specific benefits of the wonder rather than the general description it gives you when you initially pick.
